PunchOut catalogue integration for suppliers

A buyer has told you their procurement system needs a PunchOut catalogue before they can keep buying from you. This is the work that produces one.

What it is

A PunchOut catalogue lets a buyer shop your website from inside their own procurement system. They click your name in SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle or JAGGAER, land on your site already identified as themselves, add what they need, and the cart returns into their system as a requisition.

Two things make it different from a normal storefront. The buyer never types their details, because their procurement system has already told you who they are. And the prices they see are the ones you negotiated with them, not your list prices.

Technically it is a handshake — a setup request from their system to your endpoint, a session, and a structured cart posted back. The protocol is cXML on most platforms, or OCI where the buyer runs SAP SRM.

Who needs it

A buyer has made it a conditionThe most common trigger, and usually with a deadline attached. Enterprises consolidate suppliers into their procurement platform and give a window to comply.
You are losing orders to catalogued competitorsOnce a category is available inside the procurement system, buyers stop raising manual requisitions for it. Being outside the catalogue means being outside the default path.
Manual order entry is consuming your sales teamOrders arriving as emailed PDFs get rekeyed, and rekeying produces errors that cost more than the time.

What we do

  • Build and host the PunchOut endpoint that speaks to your buyer’s system.
  • Connect it to your existing catalogue, whether that is Shopify, WooCommerce, a custom store, or a product database.
  • Implement buyer-specific pricing so each buyer sees their contract terms.
  • Map your product data to the classification the buyer requires, including UNSPSC coding and unit-of-measure normalisation.
  • Handle the credential exchange and configuration with the buyer’s technical team directly.
  • Run the test cycles with them, including the rounds where something fails and needs adjusting.
  • Monitor the endpoint after go-live and fix what breaks, including when the buyer changes their requirements.

What you provide

No developer, and far less of your time than you are expecting.

Timeline and price

Two to four weeks of build work for a straightforward integration against an existing catalogue site. After that the schedule belongs to the buyer’s test queue.

This is the Connect tier: $199/month for year one, stepping down to $129 from year two. Additional buyer connections are $450 once. You do not start paying until the connection is live in your buyer's production system.

The buyer's testing queue is usually the longer half and it is not ours to control — why supplier enablement takes the time it takes.

Common questions

Do we need to replace our website?

Almost never. PunchOut sits in front of your existing catalogue rather than replacing it. The exception is when a site cannot show different prices to different logged-in buyers at all — that constraint sometimes forces a rebuild, and we would tell you before you committed to anything.

What if we have several buyers on different platforms?

The catalogue and pricing logic are shared; each buyer gets their own authenticated connection and sees their own pricing. Additional buyer connections are a one-off $450 rather than a recurring fee.

Who talks to the buyer’s IT team?

We do, directly. Buyer coordination is the part suppliers most often underestimate, and handing it back to you would defeat the point of outsourcing the integration.

Find out what your buyer actually requires

Send us the requirement your buyer sent you. We will tell you which tier covers it and how long it takes — before you commit to anything.
